    If I was still racing, I’d now be considered a vet – a young one, but a vet nevertheless. When the hell did that happen? Still, 116kms on a cold Saturday in March isn’t too bad for an old man.

    I haven’t noticed this. I’m not saying he doesn’t, I just haven’t noticed it, but I’ll have to check it out.

    I definitely have an unusual sense of style, but I like the AG2R kit and color scheme. Better than blue/black and I like the white/baby blue/chocolate mousse scheme.

    Also, while kinda ugly, I at least like the brightness of the Tinkov gear.

    Mike – sure, in this case. But I was asking in general – do you need to actually cross the line first for it to count as a win in the WC jersey or can you simply win GC and have that count.

    Mike – sure, in this case. But I was asking in general – do you need to actually cross the line first for it to count as a win in the WC jersey or can you simply win GC and have that count.

    A win is a win; winning a GC still means you came across the line first – its just an aggregate line rather than a physical one.

    Think of it this way: if he won the Tour without winning a stage, we’d consider it a curse-free season, no?

    Agreed on Trek. It’s the cycling equivalent of wearing a tuxedo t-shirt. The Giant-Shimano kit is pretty sweet and I still have a fondness (soon to be mocked, I’m sure) for the AG2R kit. Yes, I know it’s brown, but I say it take some courage to use that color. In a weird way it reminds me of the RMO kit of the 80s.
