8. I just realized that there is no Paris-Tours in the VSP. Was thinking it could be a tough call with Cav trying to win in the rainbow jersey and Gilbert trying to spoil the fun.

    Where do the rules stand on post VSP season disqualifications? Do we need a massive recount with the possibility of @Nate handing back his pinafore?

    Will you take the view that 2 years actually means 2 years of not competing and exclude the Bertie from future VSP scoring until such a period has passed?

    Yeah God Damnit, I want my 2 VSP points from stage 14 from the 2010 Tour, not to mention those 7 points from last year’s Giro and just for good measure, throw in a few more in case I missed something!

24. I’m with you. Come on, we can do two races at the same time, so why not do both Paris-Nice and the Tirreno? Gives us an excellent opportunity to see who’s on his way and who needs more work for the classics.

    I would guess that the VSP already has it’s fair share of Italian races:
    5 BEL
    4 ITA
    4 FRA
    2 ESP
    2 NED
    1 SUI
    1 GB
    1 CAN

    Overall they already have there fair share of race days.

    However if this was the reasoning I feel North America deserved a Stage Race. The USA Pro would help with the post TDF slump…..

    All in all, I’m sure what we already have is a lot of work for the Keepers, and adding more events other than the occasional bonus stage will burden them a bit more than they’d like.

27. Instead of the whole race, maybe a better idea would be to ask the keepers for a bonus stage for the day from Martinsicuro to Prati di Tivo instead.

50. This may be answered elsewhere, but why isn’t the Olympic Time Trial one of the VSP stages? Similarly the world championship TT? Not quite the rainbow bands that Cav is wearing, but Tony Martin is fairly impressive, and some fairly hard hardmen have placed highly in the championships.
