Anatomy of a Photo: Take a Look While You Still Can

FDJ guy: Is that the new fizik Kurve in Bull?

Fast Phil: Oui.

FDJ guy: Mind if I have a look?

Fast Phil: Do it while you can because it’ll be blowing past you later.

Marko

Marko lives and rides in the upper midwest of the States, Minnesota specifically. "Cycling territory" and "the midwest" don't usually end up in the same sentence unless the conversation turns to the roots of LeMond, Hampsten, Heiden and Ochowitz. While the pavé and bergs of Flanders are his preferred places to ride, you can usually find him harvesting gravel along forest and farm roads. He owes a lot to Cycling and his greatest contribution to cycling may forever be coining the term Rainbow Turd.

That is a Mario fan right there - puts us all to shame. Holy shit. The bike, wheels, grouppo, kit, overshoes...the only things he got wrong are the helmet and the shades.

All told, though, this one is probably bordering on not enough going on. I'm glad the guy knew where to draw the line, as far as we know.

And then you had to go and post that last shot. I used to like you.
And I pushed "quote" 'cause I know you wanted to see it again @ Mikael Liddy!

Man that girl in the bottom photo has a great ass. Tho I usually like girls with longer hair.

Too much black and white in the amateur peloton now.
    Yeah. I agree!
If you can'y decide black or white bar tape, this dude has it covered!

Zebra Dude - "Can I come a Cogal with you?"

Hey! Turns out you can quote two people at once!

@Cyclopsbut surely you only wear The V-Kit, no? Whoops, forgot the state champs jersey.

Actually, we are not allowed to wear The V kit in USAC sanctioned races, are we? Only USAC recognized and registered teams can wear team kits. I have just been wearing my generic cycling outfits in my races so far this year.

I've been thinking about registering as a team, but haven't made it on my priority list as of yet. If you need something done in order to wear The V-Kit (and you actually want to race in it) let me know and I'll kick it up the list. I'm planning on racing in mine this year as well.

150 bucks and anyone can attach themselves to the club, wear "club" jerseys on race day, etc, etc.

Cool, thanks for the link. My crap HMO has an in-house vision center, which does carry Oakley glasses but they never have the nice sunglasses on display. I'll have to ask them what they can do in that case. My current sunglasses are Raybans with Oakley lenses, and I like the optics a lot.

Oi Squeeky, I have had "photochromic" radar paths since 2009. Awesome!! Dark enough for Southern California on the brightest day, light enough that I never use anything else! Not prescription though but I don't see why they should be different. Lot of mullah$$ though.. I got mine (which were $215) for $100 when I bought my bike from the LBS. After much haggling and having done the deal, almost, I said "chuck in those Oakleys for $100 and we're done " and he did and we were.

I really like their stuff, and not just because I get a good deal on them (team sponsor). It's nice.

  • Why do all of my favorite websites eventually devolve into softcore gay porn? What does that say about me, I wonder?
