We now move into the Netherlands and the first of three Ardennes races. Whomever did well in Paris-Roubaix probably won’t like all the hills in Amstel. Same with the beer but I’ll leave that beery subject alone this year.

Also, WTF was Phil Gil doing carrying pepper spray "in case of altercations with motorists". I get that some drivers are twats (I had a bus pass me by <50 cm at 35 km/h this morning), but I cannot understand the thought process that impairment of vision is going to help matters.
