The Cricket 2003
The VSP generator is still warm and sticky from all the ales we had to pour into it to keep it from overheating in Paris. Who would have guessed Froomey would have won again? Well, he won’t win this because he isn’t racing, probably too busy racing the criteriums. Last year’s winner should be back and ready to repeat. It is amusing that the UCI oversees these criteriums despite everybody knowing they are often rigged, riders collude, results questionable. Who cares.
Clásica San Sebastián is crowded with Tour de France survivors and those who aren’t dead should be ready to tear it up. Here is a start list to chew on. You all know what to do, what’s on the prize list and who Pedro Dalgado is. And yes, we missed another Women’s race. We do indeed suck. We are suffused with shame. We are bad males. But that has been obvious for about seven years running so moving on…this race is on Saturday and Delgado is Spanish. Be careful and good luck.

@Geraint
I'm not seeing Alaphillipe on there and quite a few folks have picked him...
These things are so much easier to predict in hindsight.

True enough, I wonder if some people just name their favourites without looking at the list and then others copy picks. Or maybe they have better info than we do.
I'm conflicted between inherently wanting to help others and thinking that anyone not checking the start list when it's only a click away deserves a handicap... I shall STFU.
@Ron
Of course I have internet. He wasn't on it when it was posted. Thankfully, now he is. Let's hope for a great race!

First time picking for VSP. I have no idea if I'm doing it right (and even less idea about actually picking riders).

I wouldn't worry about it. Many of us have been doing the VSP for years and not getting it right! (ok, ok, I'm just speaking for myself.)
