If Tony gets a flat or two and loses this time trial, bookies will be jumping off bridges into the Thames. It’s a lock, man, it’s a lock. There, it is now jinxed. You are welcome. Picking second through fifth will take some acumen. Will these be Vuelta riders or does that just hold true for the road race? Tony could have a jour sans. Consult your god.
Twiggo should be in with some speed, he could get lucky, or he could suck. You decide. Time is short and the points are worthy. Delgado at your own risk. A start list is somewhere, I sure can’t find it, FFS!

Interviewer: "What went through your head when you woke up this morning?"
Wiggo: "That I needed a wee."
Another gem to add to the list.
What a performance, with very few of the cognoscenti (velomiscenti?) predicting it. So where, in the all time greats list, should we place him now? Olympic track gold medallist, TdF, multiple classics winner and now world time trial.
Surely up there somewhere?
David
@davidlhill
Up there for sure, but I'd be very careful equating cognoscenti and velomiscenti. Very rarely do those two groups intersect!
@davidlhill yes to putting him in the pantheon but there is a slight hiccup with his "British" eccentricity, no? That is when the competition is Anquetil, Coppi, Merckxs et al?
@davidlhill
Don't forget Olympic TT gold medalist (beat Tony Martin in that one too) and he seems intent on riding the Classics again. Could there be a win coming this spring? He is surely "checking the boxes".
@Rob
Eccentricity? You're being generous. He's prickly, flinty and a little flaky, but cycling is much richer for Bradley Wiggins. Imagine what he could accomplish with Froome's focus (but then he'd have to shave his head and flush his personality)? He's certainly put another mark on the wall at SKY Pro Cycling.
@Minnesota Expat right you are. Actually I love that Brit thing - it's never boring! Like some on the other end of the Chunnel...(calm down Froonk, just kidding).
Wiggo should have a bonkers good year coming up.
Babooom! Despite that messed up hairdo of his, Sir Twiggins beat Tony soundly. Well done. And a few of you picked him to win also, despite my saying TM was a lock. Chapeau.

@Rob
Read Sex. Lies and Handlebar Tape about Anquetil. His "eccentricities" make Wiggo look like some kind of zen bhuddist saint-like kinda guy.
Holy shit, Wiggo. I mean, Holy shit!! Get in.
So, GB had six people to help Wiggins, but appartently couldn't afford to take a woman for the women's TT? For shame.
Wow what a result!
Can someone explain my score to me? I picked Martin, Wiggins, Dumoulin, Dennis, Kiryienka and scored only 4. Shouldn't that have been 6?
