A year ago, you’d have gotten strange looks if you picked anyone other than Lizzie Deignen (Armistead) for the win. This year is another story and I quite frankly (Frahnkly) can’t pick a favorite, although Lizzie is sure to feature. But getting married apparently doesn’t do much for your racing campaign; just ask Miguel Indurain, who got married, lost the Tour de France, and retired immediately. Sensible.
Chantal Blaak is looking good, and Emma Johansson always seems to show up for a good result. But honestly, it feels like a Magic Eightball would be more likely to pick the result than would any of us. Once again I apologize for the short picks window, but it is what it is. Make the most of it and get your picks in by the time the countdown clock goes to zero.
Good luck!

VSP PICKS:
Queen Lizzie's had a cold, and although I'd love to see one of the Barneses take the win, no Brits in the top 5 for me.
Oh, and in case anyone's interested, there's going to be non-geo-restricted live streaming for the women's. Sarah Connolly has comprehensive details.
